Included in the 6 week creative program:
5 live felting sessions in a private classroom on Zoom
recordings of each session available 24h after each session and accessible for at least 1 year
step by step pdf files
guided exercises
a one to one meetings with each student for individually guidance
weekly open studio session to exchange, felt together & inspire each other
demonstrations of mixed media felting techniques including paper-felting, free motion stitching, enhancing the felted surface with painting, stamping, calligraphie, writing ….

Detailed program:
Session 1 - 6h30 pm to 9h30 pm:
1. Presentation of students
2. Presentation of possibilities in art vests making (design, shapes…)
3. Exercise 1 – surface design : techniques and possibilities
Creating of a 50cm x 50cm (20”20”) felt painting using different design techniques such as nunofelting, paper felting, fiber painting, creation of relief, abstract and figurative elements…
In between classes: Finishing of felt paintings, preparation of prefelt for mini art vest exercise
Session2 – 6h30 pm 9h30 pm:
1. Presentation of students felt paintings
2. Calculation of shrinkage
3. Possibilities to enhance the felted surface with mixed media techniques.
4. Introduction to free motion stitching
5. Demonstration of 3 different ways to conceive art vests
In between classes: Finalizing fiber paintings with mixed media techniques and free motion embroidery
Session 3 – 7pm to 8h30 pm:
1. Show off finished fiber paintings
2. Demonstration mini art vests exercise
3. General advices for making the art vest layout
From Monday to Thursday & Sunday:
Individual appointments with each student to calculate and plan each art vest. (~45minutes)
Session 4 - 6h30 pm to 9h pm:
1. Group meeting : presentation of students projects
2. Questions & answers
3. Presentation of art vest adornments
Session 5 - 6h30 pm to 9h pm:
Finalizing of art vests.
Session 6
A show and tell session will be organized in function of the wishes and needs of all participants 1 to 4 weeks after the end of the workshop.
—> A day for the open studio session each week will be determined during the first session.
—> A dedicated WhatsApp group allow to ask question during the week
My teaching philosophie
All my teaching is focused on the wish to reveal the original artist in you. I see myself as your assistant, supporting you in the process of giving birth to your own visions, your unique & authentique art.
This applies to everything, including wearables, such as the 4 in 1 art vests.
The technical aspect of these is very simple – a painting with two holes. This might be taught in less than a day! However what makes them outstanding is the surface design, the personal process, the individual expression, your ideas, you inspirations - your unique way of making ART!
To be able to access your original creativity it needs the willingness of connecting to the flow and a glimpse of serendipity. Best is to let go of expectations and open up to the process. Inspiration is not something we can provoke or control. Inspiration, connecting to our very own creativity needs patience and time.
And this is what I want to give space for in this workshop - time for creativity, time for you, time to play and grow.
Together let’s access “the big magic” of making ART!
